It was bl***y brilliant! I think Meryl Streep is the best actress on the planet and she didn't disappoint in this movie either. Oh, how all those childhood memories came flooding back when hearing song after song. Those years in the mid-seventies when my mother was constantly out of kitchen foil because I used it to scrunch up balls of the stuff, stick a pencil in it and voila... the perfect microphone. I would invite three friends to play ABBA with me and the boys would cover their clogs (yeah, clogs!! I know! It was the 70's in Sweden after all) with kitchen foil to create a cool, shiny platform-type shoe but without the actual platform if you know what I mean. ABBA, by the way, had their own way of wasting kitchen foil
And all the girls wanted to be Agnetha including myself but I never stood a chance since I was a ginger. Oh dear, oh dear....
I adooored Agnetha. In my eyes she could do nothing wrong. Not even by wearing clothes like this
Nowadays my favourite of the four is Benny.

He looks like a sweet teddy bear (in a fatherly sort of way, that is) and I just want to cuddle him.
I was wondering if the actors would be able to live up to expectations in terms of singing and I have to say that they were pretty good. Especially Amanda Seyfried who plays Sophie had a fantastic voice. Pierce Brosnan should probably stick to acting but he got away with it. And hearing "Our Laaaast Summer" sung by Colin Firth in his verrry posh public school boy accent.. now that's something different. Talking about Colin Firth, at the very end of the movie I couldn't help but noticing how confident he was walking in platforms. He was quite a natural. Maybe Colin has a secret fetish??!!
If you like ABBA then this is a must see! Go and see it! Go.....
