Yesterday we got up fairly early and took the train to Brighton. It was one of "Potential's" friends 30th birthday party and "Potential" invited me. It was a glorious, sunny day in Brighton. We walked from the train station to West Laine. There are loads of cool independent shops and restaurants here. It's quite hippy orientated and the restaurants are mainly vegetarian. I love a shop called "The Get Cutie Co". One day I will buy a dress or two there.
From here we wandered down to the seafront.

The sun was shining and lots of people were out enjoying it.

The sun was shining and lots of people were out enjoying it. Earlier this week when "Potential" asked if I fancied going to Brighton for the weekend I jumped at the chance! He offered to book a hotel room and of course he picked the coolest hotel in Brighton - The Pelirocco! This hotel has got themed rooms with names like Betty's Boudoir, The Pinup Parlour and The Nokii room. We booked the Fancy Pants room and it was really cute with the framed knickers on the pink walls,
bedside tables dressed in knickers
and complimentary Smarties with the tea.
The Play Room looked like fun with it's mirror in the ceiling and a pole for a spot of dancing. But at £250 per night it felt a bit steep. The reception area/breakfast room/bar had bright pink furniture and cool art on the walls. Breakfast was included. I went for the full English and "Potential" chose the veggie option. Everyone who worked there were so friendly and chilled out. I couldn't help but noticing the difference between them and people working in London. Oh well...

Oh well...The birthday party was at a French restaurant. We had a three-course dinner with quite a lot of wine. Luckily neither of us managed to get too drunk and this was a good thing since we had to get up fairly early this morning and head back to London. I had promised to cover for someone at work.
The loveliest most caring people work in the clinic where I rent a therapy room. This little note was put up in the kitchen window.
I'm not usually a fan of pigeons but as with all babies you can't help but go "aaaahhhh"!

No pole dancing pic?! I feel cheated!
Hi Helena,
this sounds like a great week end and Mr Potential is seriously cool !
:-)
now how about talking him into going to Greece ?
How fun. Looks like a great time.
Hi Helena
You certainly had a nice time with 'Potential' in Brighton. Next time try The Mermaid Inn in Rye, Sussex. Andrew, Mark and I stayed one night in The Mermaid Inn, in January this year and we did not sleep a wink as the floor boards creaked all night. This place is famously haunted!!
Your friend in the DTC :-)
