Check Out Some Stunning Art Jewellery

On Thursday I received a renewal letter of my contract from my landlord. I rent my room on a yearly basis and have always done so. I quickly scanned the letter and registered that they'd put the rent up yet again but that was expected. Just before I was going to bed I thought I'd better find out by when I have to return the signed contract and this time I actually read through the whole letter. At the very end it said that "clearly you will have to make the necessary arrangements at your bank to ensure the Direct Debit meets the revised sum". It went on to say that if I wanted to renew the tenancy I should return a signed copy of the contract together with a cheque for £90 to cover for the Administration Charge. Ninety pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Excuse me??????!!! Do you print your f*****ing contracts on gold paper? Or is it diamond encrusted? Because that's what I would expect for a price like that.

Let me tell you that I did not sleep well that night. On Friday morning I called all numbers I've got to my landlord (which happens to be the largest letting company in the UK). Nobody wanted to take responsibility until I actually got hold of the property manager. She did waiver the fee for me for which I am grateful. But I can't help wondering how low my landlord has sunk. And what about next year when it's time to renew the contract again. Will they waiver the charge for me again? Probably not.

I've been looking at flat shares but everything is so expensive. I'd love to have my own flat but if that's ever going to happen I'll have to move out of London OR find myself a wealthy man soon.

On a much more positive note I'm really pleased to announce that my company Charmed Spirit is selling some of Claire Gerrard Designs unique art jewellery.

Claire works with sea glass and ceramics which she picks up from the beaches in Anglesey and North Wales.

She then turns it into stunning pieces of jewellery. Not one piece is exactly the same as the other. Pop over to Charmed Spirit to take a look.
